You’re probably already aware of some of your body’s energy centers. Maybe you’ve trusted your gut instinct or had a moment of inspiration. Or maybe you’ve walked into a room and felt someone’s energy—heavy, joyful, or maybe a little off. Maybe you’ve sensed someone wasn’t telling the truth, and felt it in your chest, your belly, or even your throat. That’s your energetic wisdom, tuning in.
One of the beautiful things about working with the chakras is that it opens the door to new experiences in the mind, body, and spirit. It's like getting a backstage pass to the deeper layers of YOU.
What Is Spirit, Anyway?
Lately, I’ve been chatting with a few fellow humans about what "spirit" means to them.
For some, it’s a connection to God or a higher power. For others, it’s a glowing light they feel inside. Some speak of their “higher self”—a wise, loving part of them that’s always guiding. Others feel spirit through the earth, through nature, through Mother Earth herself.
Whatever you call it, spirit is a gift. If you’ve ever done yoga, received Reiki or done energy work, you’ve likely felt energy moving through or around your body—like light, like peace, like a soft breeze of calm that speaks directly to your soul and relieves stress.
A Chakra Tune-Up
Energy work on the chakras is powerful stuff. You might feel tingles, emotions, or colors. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, tuning into your seven chakras—from the base of your spine to the crown of your head—can ground you and connect you to something higher.
In our stress-packed world, people are searching for something more than numbing through screen time, drugs, Smoking, busyness, overworking or endless scrolling. They're learning and remembering ancient wisdom, and craving tools that reconnect them to peace, balance, and inner joy.
That’s what the Let’s Chakra Method and chart is about. It's a step-by-step guide to bring your energy back into alignment—starting with one small awareness at a time. Even jotting down how you feel for a week can be a beautiful start.
Breathe With Me
Let’s talk breath.
Most people think breathing is just... breathing. In and out. But your breath is magic. It’s the remote control to your nervous system, your emotions, and yes—your energy.
Ever notice how fast you breathe when you’re stressed or anxious? That’s your body screaming for help. But here’s the good news: breathing is also the fastest way to calm everything down.
Let’s try a simple breathing practice together:
Sit in a comfy chair (straight-backed if possible). Feet flat—or on a book/stool if you're adorably short like me. Inhale slowly through your nose to a count of 5 or 7 (whatever feels good).Exhale through your nose just as slowly. Feel your upper belly rise and fall gently. That's the good stuff.
Let yourself sink into it. Feel the stress start to melt.
Alternate Nostril Breathing (It’s a Brain Balancer!)
Ready for a fun one? This technique brings balance to both sides of your brain—your logic and your feelings. It’s amazing for stress relief, clarity, and chakra alignment.
Here's how:
Hold your hand in front of your face, thumb on your right nostril, index finger near the left.
Close your right nostril with your thumb.
Inhale slowly through your left nostril.
Close your left nostril, open the right, and exhale through the right.
Repeat the cycle, 9 times.
You can even do this at your desk, in your car (not driving, of course!), or out in nature. Bonus if you’re near the ocean, under a tree, or soaking up sunshine—nature makes the breath even more powerful.
Real Talk: This Isn’t About Perfection
We’re not here to become perfect chakra-tuned yogis who never get cranky. We’re here to remember. To reconnect. To feel peace even in the chaos.
I’ve had my own wild ride—illnesses, surgeries, burnout, and deeply personal struggles. But every time I return to my breath, my body, and my energy, I feel home again.
Chakra work isn’t woo-woo—it’s real, grounded, and deeply healing. And it starts with the breath.
So, let’s take it one breath at a time.
Let’s feel the energy move.
Let’s breathe and begin again.
Stay tuned for more simple practices to unlock each chakra, bring you peace, and get you glowing from the inside out.
With love & breath, Bobbie
P.S. What does spirit feel like to you?
When was the last time you truly connected with your breath?
